I recently bought the Lie-Nielson #66 beading tool
shown here.

It seems to work well(I think),but, do I have to
perform any sort of sharpening procedure on the blades
that come with it? Any hints on how I do that?

You simply polish the flat faces on a diamond or fine stone. This creates that cutting burr edge without changing the profile. The higher the grit, the shinier, the better.
