I just received mail from the auction house on the above mentioned plane and level.
"The plane went for $3000 plus 12% buyers premium and the level went for $500 plus premium! We were very pleased"
Putting them up for auction would have been a tough call for me, I collect. I have a level about 1/3 as ornate. Though If they were mine they probably would have gone on the block also. 2 1/2 new major power tools sure would be nice.Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!

Craftsman made tools for craftsmen. Compilations of some demanding skills. It makes you want to step up to the plate with one of those in your hands, or just quit.
