I managed to drop and crack the frog on my Bedrock 605, fat fingers! Any ideas as to where I can get a replacement frog. The 605 is a type 3, I am not looking for collector parts, I just want to get it working again with a usable frog. Thanks for any help.

Larry,
A pro with an oxy acetylene torch can braze the broken parts together and they'll be as good as new. Ask around at some welding shops, try to find someone who really knows how to braze cast iron. Brazing is like soldering but the filler material is a brass and needs higher temperatures than are possible with a propane torch.
You could also try using an epoxy to repair the part. JB Weld epoxy which you can get at Home Depots and K-Marts is legendary for its ability to do metal repairs.
Good Luck, John W.
Try Pete Niederberger [email protected] or Bob Kaune at http://www.antique-used-tools.com
Larry, epoxy is 5% as strong as the metal, and will contaminate the sasurfaces so it can't be fixed when it breaks immediately.
Strongest is GTAW with 99% Ni electrodes. I've done this on small pieces of cast iron but it has to be heat treated post weld if heated above 1400*F
If it were my call, I'd silver braze it with B Ag 3 (M.P. 1160-1200*F) using an aggressive flux from Superior unless you can get the stuff specified as B F-3. This will give you a joint 95% as strong as the original. This can be done with a propane torch, but it's tricky.
check ebay, many times you can find just frogs, irons or caps.
