I recently upgraded from a powermatic 64a to a Delta X5 left tilt unisaw with beisemeyer fence.
The fence that I have does not sit perpendicular to the table. The old accufence I had allowed you to make a perpendicular adjustment by using two nylon runners as bearings on the flat part of the fence that could be screwed in or out to adjust it 90 degrees to the table (NOTE: I am not talking about parallelism to the blade here, but getting the fence face 90 degrees to the table)
I have had to place a lot of masking tape under the left side of the runner to shim the fence perpendicular. Has anyone else encountered this problem with their Beisemeyer fence? The rail guide tube assembly appears to be at the correct height.
Thanks

Yep. I bought a Unisaw 7 or 8 years ago and had the problem with 2 fences. The rails were dead on and the two fences were off by different amounts, so I'm sure it was the fence. Delta sent me the second free of charge and had to be reminded to pick up the original. I had a couple of discussions with the tech support, who were stumped, claiming the fences are welded in a frequently calibrated jig. Finally, I just shimmed one side between the plastic runner and the underside of the fence. It's been like that for 8 years, works fine. I previously used a Vega fence which had adjustability. I like the Biesemeyer, but I think the vega was a better fence. If it's not horribly off, just shim it. I can't remember the thickness of the shim, but I do remember setting with my feeler guage so it wasn't inches or anything.
