I just bought a new grinding wheel for my 8” General bench grinder ( Norton 120grt)
but I cannot get it to run straight, it wobbles no matter how i try to adjust it. I manage to get it less but can’t get it to run dead on.
any idea?
It’s not the grinder cause it’s ok with the other wheel and it was doing good with the one I’m trying to replace. ????
thanks

I recomend using a dial indicator on the arbor first. Then repeat on the good disk. Both location readings should be as close to the arbor as possible!
On the Norton... using mic, verify the arbor hole is correct. If it is, read with dial indicator and compare to the other readings.
If readings are within .004 or less, re face the new wheel with your dressing tool.
Hope this helps.

If the previous wheel was fine, it has to be the new wheel. Return it, and get another. A wheel that wobbles badly is very unsafe.
