I am working on a project where I will be making two halves of a wooden tube about 3″ in diameter. I am looking for a source for the thin birch plywood and nobody local to me (Sacramento and SF) have heard of it.
They sell it in the Lee Valley catalog so it can’t be that hard to find. They have it as thin as .8mm which is what I am looking for.
Thanks in advance.

You can buy bending plywood at Plywood and Lumber Sales. They have three yards in the San Francisco area -- http://www.pals4wood.com for locations. You can buy plywood tubes from several sources, for instance Anderson International -- http://www.aitwood.com
WOW!
Talk about a candy land of fun!
I wish they had pictures of some of those items as they sound really neat but I have no idea exactly what they are.
Do either of you do producting veneering or vacuum forming? I wouldn't mind subcontracting some of this.
THANKS guys for posting those sites!
Michael
Just as what Jamie has already said.
Anderson International Trading has both of the products you need, and always in stock. Great people to deal with. It's a family run business
