Where can I find data on the radii of curvature of hardwoods, e.g. walnut, oak, cherry, maple? Does the minimum radius change with board thickness?
Are there data available for steam treated and untreated boards? Thanks.

Bruce Hoadley's book "Understanding Wood" has most of the information you want. I think the rough rule of thumb is that most hardwoods will bend to a radius about 50 times their thickness.

*The best reference I have found is the Wood Bending Handbook by W C Stevens and N Turner originally published in the UK in 1970 but now reprinted by Woodcraft. It tells you more than you ever want to know and has plenty of tables comparing most species of wood used commercially.I think I saw it in Woodcraft the last time I went.Tim
*Also useful infohttp://www.taunton.com/fw/features/techniques/13springback.htmHave you used the search feature on the home page?Agree with Tim and Mike on their book recommendations. Excellent sources.
