I broke my 3/8” spiral up cut bit while testing a dado cut in white oak. Too deep of cut and it grabbed. I have to get some replacements. I use them in a router table for stopped dados or in plunge router for mortises. Any opinions on the best ones out there Whiteside or Freud? Or other brands?

I think Whiteside and Amana are really good bits. They are very sharp and hold up over time. They are worth the extra money I think.
+1 for whiteside. I also like Spetool. Their 1/4" upcut is by far my most used bit and it still cuts super clean after 3 yrs.
+1 per hotdogman, I use them exclusively. Except for the solid 1/4 and 1/2 metal end mills.
I've used all mentioned, but my favorite are Onsrud.
Definitely Whiteside followed by Amana for repetitive mortise cuts. I've never had one fail cutting mortises either in my table, plunge router or my Pantarouter and I can push them pretty hard.
If I'm going to use a bit often, I always use Whiteside. If it's occasional or one time use, I look at the price difference between others.
The thing I find that fails most often on cheaper bits are the bearings. They use crap bearings.
