Hello,
I am looking for recommendations on the most bulletproof cabinet drawer slides. My criteria are weight-carrying capacity, low wobble/deflection, and long extension length.
What’s the longest extension I can expect to find?
I appreciate your input.
Thanks.

I have used the Accuride ball bearing guides on several projects and have had great success. They have several applications and weight loads available. Also the full extensions allow the back of the drawer to extend out to the cabinet face. Just finished a entertainment center and used them on several drawers that hold DVDs and VHS tapes. I have also used them on kitchen cabinets for drawers that held heavy pots and pans.

To add to my earlier post, I need extension length (hoping for 48") but not necessarily as high a weight carrying load as the accuride 9301 series is rate for. (500 lbs per pair).
Thanks for the suggestions so far.
AlexS,
48" extension length. Is that a typo? We've been mounting electronic chassis's in equipment cabinets with slides for years. A quick check of my catalogs here found about 34" as the longest. And a high dollar, size and weight slide too!. Let me know if you want some vendor names.
Enjoy, Roy
OK, I confess. I'm not planning on using these for mounting cabinet drawers.
I am toying with the idea of building a CNC router.
I am looking for a linear motion solution that's less expensive than industrial linear bearings and shafts. I saw some drawer slides over the weekend and was hoping I could modify them to suit my purposes. The 48" travel was a hope of mine so that I might net something over 3' in actual travel.
But based on the cost for the 48" accuride units, it may be cheaper to use industrial linear motion solutions after all!
Not to change the topic of my own thread, but for the CNC router design, anyone have any other alternatives in mind to the cabinet slides?
Thanks!
I'll second that emotion. Haven't used accurides but blums are very nice. Need to cut a little notch in the bottom of the back of the drawer to accommodate the track. No big deal..
