Tom , what size will the drawers be ? This may enable us to guide you better pun intended .
If you flat out ask each of us , we will prolly have a favorite type of slide we like to use .
In general I prefer a full extension ball bearing slide , the side mounts have been an industry standard of quality for many years but now we have the conceald undermont slides with soft close features .
I have built thousands of drawers using side mount slides and honestly I could count on one hand the failures but in all cases they were due to abuse .
Imho when you ask me for the best in general I would have to say Blumotion hands down .
There are many brands of undermounts now available check the features and adjustments they have , the more ability to adjust them the better . Look at the new Grass they have side ti side adjustment as well .

Blumotion glides are very good.
Best Drawer Guides
I agree with Oldusty that full extension, side mount, ball bearing guides are the way to go, especially if you can expect children to use the partially to fully extended drawers as a staircase. I have been well served in selection and price by CSH, http://www.cshardware.com in Cedarburg WI. Of course I lived only a few blocks away at one time and spent a lot of time wandering through the store. They also have a complete line of mounting fasteners and several brands of slides.

Yep, that's reason enough to use glides with a 200# load rating for a silverware drawer. ;-)
Re Stairs
100# should be plenty but if you have to use 200# then those kids should have moved out a long time ago.

Yep, I agree
The "Blumotion" are quite nice but very spendy. Depending on the weight design and if it's light, I like a wood on wood shop made guide or no guide at all, just a well fitted drawer box. Nothing beats the feel of a well fitted and waxed hardwood guide but probably not practical for heavily used drawers such as in a kitchen.
Get a pdf download cut sheet for the Blum guides that you plan to use. The The drawer box measurements are very specific.!
