I’ve made a Kayak rack for the truck out of oak. I’ve applied 1 coat of Boiled Linseed Oil and was wondering what would be the BEST finish to use over that as I know BLO has no protective properties at all. I plan on doing another coat of BLO but I’m letting it dry for a few days first. There’s so much random info out there and hard to find a particular good answer to this. Thanks for the help guys.

Finish
Let it dry at least a week than coat with a marine varnish. You don't need a second coat of BLO.
