Hi Fellas, My shop floor is 3/4 tg fir plywood brand new and clean as a whistle (a few voids not sure if i should fill them in or not). What is the best paint to apply on the floor? Brand and sheen?

I've seen epoxy type paints used, and sometimes they'll mix a bit of grit to keep them from being slippery.
I'd use either shellac (first choice) or a good brand of deck paint.
If shellac, 2-3 coats of 2# cut should be fine. If deck paint, use a light gray. Either will give great service and be easy to repair if and when needed.

rich and I are both in absolute agreement about shellac for floors.
It's easy as pie, goes on quickly, is extremely easy to repair (spills are inevitable), Cheap, durable, and what's more really worthy of a wood shop floor!
I know that this was ages ago... I put a Devoe epoxy floor in (non-waterborne) this past spring. I did it myself after a lot of research. I put this over a concrete floor. It is great... and very hard. I am not sure about useing it over wood as it may crack due to its hardness but it is great on my concrete floor. I woult talk to the people at the store about it but it is wonderful over concrete.
