There are many city guides out there rating cities by all sorts of criteria. Wouldn’t it be nice to rate cities by the ability to pursue woodworking?
If there is a guide out there that accomplishes this, I would appreciate information about it. If not, I’d be happy to participate in creating one. Here is what I have in mind, illustrated by an example. I live near Indianapolis, IN, so will provide information about it. May be, others can chime in.

OK, that does it. I know where I want to move when hubby retires! Between the wood stores and the clubs, I'd be in 7th heaven!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
Drive on down I 5 and come vistit for a weekend.
I just started monitoring the forums 3 months ago and hesitated too long trying to decide if I should attend/crash the fest up there with you. Hopefully next time.
1 - measure the board twice, 2 - cut it once, 3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go 4 - get a new board and go back to step 1
Really wish you'd made it to the fest! It was great fun. Next one's liable to be another hour or so north, but we'll let you know for sure!
I like the Portland area, what little I've seen, gotta get hubby to go for a weekend sometime!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
