Who carries the best selection of small slipstones used for sharpening carving chisels?
Any specific recommendations?
Thanks,
-Jazzdogg-
Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.

You only really need two, a round one for the gouges and a triangular one with a sharp angle for the v-tools.
I use ceramic slips, mine were made or at least sold by a company called Spyderco and are fairly old. Do a search for slip stones and I'm sure you'll find plenty of sources. Also, woodcarverssupply.com sells slips.

Hi jazzdog,
You could try The Japan Woodworker! I've got a nice selection of water stones from them. I think they've also got slip stones.

Those daring young men in their flying machines!
Another source worth checking is http://www.thebestthings.com. I know they have Norton stones which are quite good. Don't remember what others they carry but thier prices are about the best I have seen.
