I bought the Sawstop contractor saw several years ago and quite frankly, don't know why anyone would consider another saw other than Sawstop because of the safety feature. That feature aside, the fence, quality and construction make this saw great. Other saws without the safety feature and not as good quality cost almost as much. How much are your fingers worth to you?
What style saw are you looking for? The answer may be different depending on the type you want.
As gkjhgjkgh said (BTW, I have a few vowels if you need to borrow them!), the Sawstop's safety features are great. I own the PCS version. I owned an old-style Unisaw for decades, and it served me well (with a Vega fence add-on), and I've owned a Powermatic 66, which was a fine saw. The quality of the Sawstop, even ignoring the safety features, is excellent.
Now we know it is spam, same user that posted her "top 3 list".
Wondered when someone else would catch that. ;-)
