I love the smell of sawdust in the morning.
You mean there are woodworking sites other than Knots? I had no idea.;)

For another Woodworking discussion group, older and a big bigger than Knots:

I also find it a bit easier to navigate, but if you started out in Knots, you could suffer from Agoraphobia ;-) There are quite a few USof A members as well as UK, Canadian (Hi Rob!), New Zealand & Sth African lurkers, but it is pretty catholic in its reach.

Jesse,
Great question........
It would be helpful if folks would annotate their links.

Hey, thanks for all the responses! You've led me to some excellent websites; I have a bunch of them bookmarked now. That Livio de Marchi site blew my mind! Probably a few lifetimes beyond my skill level, but it stirs the imagination nonetheless. Plenty or great resources and ideas on all those other sites too. I guess i should throw my two cents in too - here are a couple of other sites i have bookmarked:
http://www.leevalleytools.com - One of my all time favorite places to shop
http://www.hearnehardwoods.com/Inven - a beautiful gallery of hardwood samples
If i discover any other great sites, i'll post them as well.

I think I got Livio de Marchi from another contributor to this site, quite awhile ago. I can just imagine him driving down the Grand Canal in his Ferrari. The web has some fabulous sites and it is just getting started. This forum should add a list of links. Keep posting any you find.Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Hi everyone!
When we were out on Colorado, we took a steam locomotive to Silverton.
There was a furniture shop there. It looked like he mainly did Arts and Crafts inspired pieces and doors.
Try: http://www.signaturefurnitureinc.com
I forgot two more:
http://www.sapfm.org
That is the Society of American Period Furniture Makers site.
http://www.thebestthings.com
It is a online catalog of really good woodworking books and videos.
