Hi everybody just a plug for a company I just used. I needed 6 beveled glass panes for a door I made and the local vendors in my area where very expensive. I tried www.miror.com (hookerglass) and was very pleased their prices where excellent and they where very helpful. I was able to use there website and order custom beveled glass cut to order for my project. Anyway a unsolicited endorsement.

Thanks! I was running into the same problem!

Just as a point of reference, for a piece I'm pricing, my local independent glass shop quoted $100 and Hooker was $185.
Glad to hear you found a good local source. My local shop wanted 60 bucks each for 7x7 panes and hooker glass came out to about 18 each after shipping. Anyway good luck

Can you tell me exactly what you ordered as I just priced a 7"x10" piece of beveled glass and it was $38. I also priced a glass desk top and it was $972. I can get the same thing locally for $180.
Life is what happens to you when you're making other plans .
I don't have the invoice in front of me but I ordered 6 pieces of 3/16 thick beveled glass and the size was about 6.5 or 7 inches square I did notice that depending upon the edge finish you got a different price, if the edge was polished it did raise the price. I also called them about the shipping and since I was ordering 6 pieces it did effect the shipping price. Anyway good luck Troy
Just a thought I would think the big pieces of glass would get very expensive to ship. Troy
