I have been looking for a Biesemeyer anti-kickback snap-in spreader for my Jet JTAS-10 left-tilt table saw. I cannot find one anywhere. I checked Woodcraft, and they only stock the models for the Delta Unisaws. They also informed me that Biesemeyer itself was recently bought by Delta, and I do see that the spreaders are shown in the new Delta woodworking catalogs. The only models listed are for Delta saws. Does this mean that the spreaders will now be available ONLY for Delta saws? This would be a great disappointment to a lot of people I suspect. Is Delta that devious in their wish to steer people to buy Delta Saws? I hope not. Has anyone seen the Biesemeyer spreader for Jet saws (model# B78-453) available anywhere? Please post if you have. Thanks.

I have the same table saw as you. I've also tried to find the same splitter, and haven't had any luck. Let me know if you're able to track it down. I also wondered if Delta was no longer making it for the Jet saws. Hopefully that's not the case.
You might check this link

They list the splitter that you are looking for. They sometimes have these for sale direct from them.

Hey Doc. We're in luck. I found them available at a place on the web called Mike's Tools. The address is http://www.mikestools.com. They had them in stock as of Tuesday afternoon, and best of all, they offer an online $10 discount coupon if you order anything $99 or above, before January 6th. They have most of the splitter models available. The B78-453 for the JTAS-10 left-tilt saw is $130 minus the $10 coupon of course. Get it while you can, as I have a bad feeling that Delta isn't going to keep making them for other saws. Good luck.
Axccording to their product description, the model for the Unisaw also fits Grizzly saws.
I know and like Mike. Been dealing with him for a few years. Good guy. Glad to see him getting a plug here.John O'Connell - JKO Handcrafted Woodworking

Yeah, me too Elco. I e-mailed the other day asking if they had one in stock, and
got an answer very quickly, on a day when everybody else in the world was home
watching sports events. I always like to recommend a good business when I run
across them , as it helps guarantee that they'll be around when I need something
else in the future.

I got mine when they first came out from California Woodworking Machinery in Anaheim, CA. The Delta influence definitely effected the time to market of the Jet models. I didn't like the pawls on it so I cut them off. Works just fine for me.

Hi Tom,
You can find the spreader at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=nb_ss_hi/104-7489675-7546361?url=search-alias%3Dtools&field-keywords=snap-in+spreader&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go
I hope this link works and brings you right to the selection of different spreaders.
I bought one a while ago for my Grizzly contractor saw and it works
great.
Cheers
Stefan
Thanks Stefan. I looked on Amazon way back when, and they didn't have the model for the Jet left-tilt. I even wrote to them to ask if they planned on carrying it in the future, and they said no. So off I went on my quest to find one somewhere else. I have no idea why Amazon doesn't carry that model. Seems a little silly to me. Surely, Doc and I aren't the only ones out there with a Jet cabinet saw. Who knows. I was worried that perhaps Delta was going to pull a fast one and stop making the Jet models after they bought Biesemeyer, so I decided to take the plunge. I reall wish I had done it years ago when they were widely available for $100...lol. OH well, you snooze you lose. Amazon has a lot of stuff, but some of the neater stuff has to be searched for elsewhere. I wish other outlets would handle Pfeil carving tools and Tormek machines, so the competition would drive down the price a little. I also wish that you could find all of the Veritas products somewhere besides Veritas. Of course, I also wish that my hair would spontaneously grow back while I'm waiting to lose weight, but there are apparently limits to what we can wish for. (I apologize for ending the sentence with a preposition, but I'm just too tired to worry about it right now.)
Try Redmond & Sons, Inc. in Atlanta GA. They are a large tool dealer with lots of inventory on the floor. A ton of Jet, Pwermatic, General, Delta machines and a lot of commerical production equipment as well. They have carried both in the past and I assume they still do. Don't know whether they have it in stock however. Phone number is 404-346-7788 and their web address is http://www.redmond-machinery.com
Hope they can help you.
try this!!http://www.rocklerpro.com/product.cfm?page=10889&filter=37477
That's a RocklerPro link, won't work for anyone who isn't in their database. I should be, since I have a resale cert on file and got that catalog once, but couldn't get on.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
just try the regular rockler website , its called the mj splitter works well!
Woodcraft can order anything Biesemeyer manufacturers. I have the same saw as you and has Woodcraft order me the splitter.
