I have a quick question. Just bought a Biesmeyer 36b-30 fence at lowes. I also just got my grizzly 1023 saw in too. I haven’t put the saw together but it comes with the shop fox classic fence. So, my question is this, Is the biesmeyer fence a better fence than the shop fox classic? Also, if it is a better fence, do you think I am going to have installation problems installing on the grizzly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cant find any information on the biesmeyer fence.
Thanks,
Chris

Believe it or not, i just got through installing the same fence on my Grizzly 1023SL.
I first installed the front rail, the only thing i had to do was buy 2- 3/8"x16x 1 1/4" long flat head screws to replace the same size bolts that is used on the Shop Fox. The heads on these new screws won't be flush with the face of the steel angle, as the countersink is not large enough. This isn't a problem as the fence will run by without any interference.
To install the rear rail, I needed to drill and tap 2 new holes. I clamped the rail to the saw table and adjusted the rail up and down and sideways to align it properly. The 2 new holes are very close to the existing holes, so be careful. With the rail in place, I center punched the new hole locations, took the rail down and drilled a 1/8" hole, then drilled them out with a 5/16" hole and tapped them with a 3/8-16 tap set in my cordless drill. Use a cutting fluid when drilling and tapping and go slow when tapping them out.
I mounted the rear rail without a problem.
When mounting the tube rail, check the height by installing the fence off of the table, shim as necessary so the fence slides properly across the saw table.
I hope this helps, good luck.
