I signed up for an introductory membership on December 5, 2022. Three months for $19.95. Within a couple of weeks, I was charged $34.95 for a magazine subscription and just yesterday, charged $99 for an annual membership. My introductory membership has another month left.
Called customer service and it was a twenty minute wait. Finally got through only to be asked to call back tomorrow because the charge is still pending.
This is very frustrating. Has anyone else been charged randomly like this? Seems their billing system is full of bugs and glitches.

I have been an unlimited member for a few years. Always auto renewed end of November each year. This fall I got an email that said there was some changes but nothing would change and I did not need to take any action. Assuming this is around when these changes were made to their account stuff.
Late November and into December I received a few notices that my subscription was expiring and to “act fast”. I checked my credit card and was charged almost 150 dollars Canadian at the end of November.
I emailed the support that was given on these forums and was told I had paid for a print subscription and digital subscription and that they could not to anything for me via that email and that I had to call customer service if I had any issues.
I have not yet received issues 300 or 301 and the online account page is does not show the same information for me that it used to. Only thing it says is I have had an account since November 2022. There used to be a section to report damaged or lost issues, which is no where to be found.
I have read about many issues on here and have yet to brave calling customer support for what seems to be an inevitable let down.
So yes, I have experienced billing issues as well as not getting my print copies.
Sort of the same thing happened to me. Had let my membership lapse and went to re-subscribe choosing the 9.99 USD a month option. They charged that straight away and then the next day charged 99 USD for an annual. Madness. To top it all off my access seems to be intermittent. If this was anything other than FWW I would abandon it as useless. so awful.
Same issues as most everyone else for going on 2 months now. Can't renew, can't read more than 1 article without changing my password, set... I have not contacted support in any way because right now I have absolutely zero confidence that they have any sort of clue.
The worst part - NOT A SINGLE COMMUNICATION FROM ANYONE AT FWW OR TAUNTON (this is happening at Fine Homebuilding also) EXCEPT FOR BEN WEIGHING IN OCCASSIONALLY. WHY NOT???
