I have a small piece of what I believe to be Birdseye pine. I would like to
“Pop” the eyes to best advantage. I am considering the methode in the article by Jeff Jewitt(FWW #135). If anyone has finished something similar in pine, or has some suggestions please comment

*Would this "birdseye" pine be what is called "curly" pine? If so, where did you get yours? Would appreciate any info. Thanks.
*Lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) sawn tangentially shows a dimpled figure that resembles birds' eye maple. In Montana most of the smaller dimension pine on the market was lodgepole.
