Sure enough, Joe at www.veneersupplies.com has some birdseye walnut veneer. He just sent me a sample, it’s interesting stuff! Might be just the thing if you are looking for a change of pace.

Na, I didn't buy any. I've got a huge stack of other veneer to go through before I can justify more, unless it's a good deal of course. It does look kind of funky in the photo, but the sample really pops when you hose it down with veneer softener. Unique stuff.
