I am new to biscuits, but have reasonly purchased a biscuit joiner, and now I am seeking information about when and where it will be appropriate with biscuits. I have ordered “Joinery” by Gary Rogowski to learn more about all different types of joints.
While waiting for the book I would like to know – Do anyone have experience with ½” MDF and mitered biscuit joints? Is it a good combination or should I leave out the biscuits. I am making some bookcases – Modern Danish design – I have made these bookcases before, but used screws to control the mitered joints. The screws have to be counter sunk and then filled with putty causing extra work and sanding etc. prior to painting and finishing. So the thought of not using screws at all sounds nice.
Thanks in advance for all comments, suggestions and information !!

Size 0 biscuits should work perfectly for your application assuming your joiner will do an outside corner accurately and consistently.
