After all the alignment problems, I finally got my blade sharpened. (BTW, I own the Forrestt WWII). I was all happy about it, put it on and burned the piece of plywood I cut. So I checked the alignment, and the fence was out by a hair. Fixed that, now I get no burning between the fence and blade, but burning on the waste side. Any ideas??? It never happened before. This was a new guy that sharpened my blades, new to me, he’s been doing this for 40 years.

Have you checked the blade alignment with the miter ways? I know it doesn't make sense if your just using the fence but it does matter. You could also have the rear of the fence set a little to far from the blade. I check my fence to the ends of the miter way after the blade is aligned with them and use the thickness of the mark on my tape for the offset. That's about a good whisker over the length of the table, just right for government work.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
