Are there any on the market? I’m aware of a dust collection system that uses this type of blade guard but it comes with a stand and tubing as is in the $400 range. I’d like just the guard.
Does such a thing exist?
Thanks

Never saw a guard that way. I once made one by adapting an old Delta. it did not take a 4" hose though. My current guard is a Felder, with a (metric) 2", which I then stepped up immediately to a 3" dia. hose. Although 4" would be better, the 3" seems to be fine. The run is: 2-3" adapter, 5' of 3" flex hose, then a 6" main trunk.
I have the Penn state industries version. It is not as beefy but does a good job. It can be mounted from the top or the side. I put it on my Grizzly and it has been very good. There are links to home made ones you can find on the net.

I built the blade guard/DC from Woodcentral referenced in another post and it works extremely well. Material costs are about $50 and took about 6 - 7 hours to build. I would build it as it you are installing a DC port and then plate over the dust port opening in case you ever change your mind. If you decide to build it, be sure and use SS screws since lexan is very tough material.
BillyBob,
I built a ceiling mounted blade guard from plans I got from somewhere on the net. I could get you the reference and send pictures if you want. I can email them, but can't seem to get them attached to this message. Send me an email if you are interested.

BillyBob,
Here is the URL for the ceiling mounted Blade Guard Plan I built:

Billy,
A while back I fabricated an overarm guard for a friend's table saw (General 650 cabinet saw). He also wanted to hook up a 4" dust collection to the shroud. I had a narrow profile (across its width) plastic blast gate lying around, and mounted it into the top of the shroud. I installed it using small sheet metal screw into pre drilled holes in the Lexan top plate; I applied a small bead of silicone adhesive around the perimeter to help create a more positive seal. A 4" dust collection hose was suspended from the ceiling just over the guard, with a quick disconnect hose fitting at the end. It works well and the guard can be disconnect from the hose and shifted out of the way if needed.
