Hi All,
I’m interested in making some chairs…..not Windsor or Maloof-style..just your basic dining chair….mostly square construction, M&T joints w/upholstered seats.
Can anyone recommend good books/resources for making my first?
Thanks!

Chairmaking and Design by Jeff Miller is an excellent book. It's a Taunton pub, and it goes from the basics of design and consturction to more advanced techniques.

Here's a 2nd on Jeff Miller's book. I actually took his chair building class about 5 years ago, and he is a great teacher. His book is well written, and easy to understand. He discusses joinery techniques in detail. I thought my woodworking was hot crap, so to speak, and was humbled when I took his class. I learned a ton from him.
