Bosch 1617EVS accept PC template guides?
I’m thinking about getting the 1617EVS kit with fixed and plunge bases along with a Porter Cable dovetail jig. Does anyone know if the Bosch router will use the template guide with that kit or PC guide’s in general?

Yes! The DeWalt has an adaptor plate which allows you to screw in the PC bushings.

If I am not mistaken, Bosch routers will not accept PC template bushing. At least my 1617EVs won't. I would most definitely call Bosch Technical and see before I made the purchase if that is your intended purpose.

Bosch has a threaded template guide adapter (RA1100) that allows you to use Porter-Cable template guides with the Bosch 1617EVS. I find the Bosch templet guide system superior to P-C. The guides snap into place and are locked in, as opposed to the screw-in style of the P-C which can be difficult to tighten or loosen. Even worse is when they start backing out when the router is running. If Bosch makes the same exact size guides that come with the P-C dovetail jig and they are not overpriced when compared to buying the adapter, then I would suggest going with the Bosch template guide system.
Thanks for all the advice folks. I believe I'll buy the Bosch template guide kit. It has a 5/8" guide and that is what the PC dovetail jig uses. If that doesn't work, I'll get the Bosch insert that accepts PC guides.
Appreciate it.
I just bought an aftermarket router plate for my Bosch 1618 D-handle router to be used with Leigh Jig. The VGS (Leigh's guide system) came with the jig are all for Porter Cable. This plate has two sets of holes for either PC router (690 series) or the Bosch router. It comes with the flat screws that makes centering the bit easier than the counter-shunk screws, and it's clear. I got it (forgot the brand name) at Woodcraft store for $15.99. Leigh wants $19 for the adapter for Bosch router. The worst is to drill the holes for your model.
