I was at Lowes and saw this http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=236551-354-CPACK3&lpage=none
It has a 1-1/4″ 18-gauge brad nailer – comes with 1000 brad nails.
So I go over to the shelf where all the makes and sizes of brad nails are displayed and I cannot find ANY Bostitch 1-1/4″ 18- gauge brad nails.
What gives? Is this a case of selling a gun – providing no brads after the fact – so that I have to go buy – presumably another size Bostitch gun?
Or am I paranoid?
Sears has a somewhat similar combo pack that I have been looking at.
If you have purchased this Bostitch combo pack and have feed back – good or bad – let me know. I appreciate it.

If you look closely at the nails you should find some that, while not made by Bostitch, will fit that gun.
I don't have any experience with that set or know how much they want for it, but I would look at the Porter-Cable sets. I have the two gun, one stapler, and compressor set from them and they work pretty good. Home Depot often has them on sale around Christmas.

P.S. If you get the 5 gun one and don't want the 23ga. pin nailer, I'll give you $40 for it. :-)
EDIT: I looked at your link and that is basically the same set I have, except mine is Porter-Cable obviously. About the same price too. If you like them I would go for it. Bostitch guns are used by a lot of pros, so they can't be that bad.

The 18 gauge gun handles nails anywhere from 5/8" through 1 1/4" which is a fairly limited range of sizes, but which doesn't limit you to just one size. Plenty of that gauge guns will go to 2" or beyond, but if you also have the 16 gauge gun the length is covered. Lowes isn't the only place to buy nails to fit the gun. The bigger problem is often that only hugh size packages are available--a two lifetime supply for many of us.
That's the big boxes for ya!
AND then just try to get a 'option' for a tool they sell that does not come in the box as sold.. Good luck!
Bostich make good quality guns and the parts are readily available. I have an 18ga Stanley ( a cheaper version of the Bostich but they are all the same company) and a 16ga and have been very happy with both. The compressor for these size guns is much smaller than you would need to run the larger (eg framing nailers) so if you are thinking of buying one of these later on you might want to get a bigger compressor now. Of course the advantage of a small compressor is that it will be much easier to carry around.
I was not knocking the Bostich.. Just the Big boxes not having any accessories for the tools they sell.
