I just bought the 22124 today. Total was about $990 with tax, free delivery and a 5 year service agreement.
I am not a CC member but the saleswoman scanned her card and gave me the discount. I told her I’d sign up later today.
They only had two saws in stock. The one in the back was missing the fence, the one on the floor was missing the left CI wing. I tried my best to wheel and deal for a variety of discounts between the floor model and/or the one without the fence but they did not bite.
They said the easiest solution for them was to order me a whole new saw which I accepted provided they delivered it to me for free. They said yes. I’ll be getting the saw in 9 days.
Given that I live just outside of town and I have a tender back I’m quite happy with this.
Oh yeah, they approved me on the spot for the Sears “Blue” card which gives me interest free payments for 6 months.
Not the deal I wanted but I can live with it. The saw selection in my town is pretty poor and I was not keen on mail order so I can’t complain.
I would have like to see the General International saws in person but a trip to Minneapolis this weekend was cancelled and I really did not want to have to deal with returning a saw purchased ten hours away anyways. I was intrigued by the 50-185 and 50-220c, however, given how cheap they are with the 52″ rails.

Congrats on the new saw!
Your going to love the power, the dust collection, and that great Bies. fence. Let us know what you think after you set it up and try it out.
And protect that table top! Even sweaty handprints will leave their mark.

Thanks. And thanks again for the advice you offered throughout this entire process. I still wish I could have seen the 50-220 CL in person.I'm going to shift the rails over to the right as far as the existing holes will allow. That will give me 41" RSRC. I plan to add a new extension table and a router on that end.Can I get by with a normal mobile base or do I need one of those extended ones? Thanks.
I bought a HD mobile base from Samona. It weighs 85lbs. I extended it further under the table ext. than the cabinet required for increased stability. If you were to do that, and add a pair of drop down extendable legs to the end of the ext. table, you would have very good stability. But I don't think the extra legs will be required.
