Anyone ever heard of an old company called Boyce-Crane (or something like that)? I’m curious, because there’s a tablesaw for sale by that name. Originally had an 8″ blade, but the owner has used 10″ in it (had to change the arbor hole, though). Has a 3HP little-used Baldor motor.
I’m not dying to attempt another table saw rejuvenation, but am real curious about this one.

My first table saw was A Boyce Crane. It was a table saw jointer comb. Both driven by the same motor. The motor was double ended. The end driving the saw had a rolling pulley that moved to or away from the end bell depending on how the saw arbor was tilted. As I remember, it was a fine tool.I bought it new in 1946 The price?-$90. I believe this was the price. My wife says that I sometimes remember things the the way I wish they were. ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬PAT¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
The name is Boice Crane - no longer in business but some parts are still available - check out the web site http://www.oldwwmachines.com - they have references to the current "owner" of Boice Crane's parts, names, etc.
