Hi ! I am wondering if someone might know of a place that handles brass hardware. I need brass carriage screws ( bolts ) 1/4 – 20 X 2″ for a project. They seem to be tough to find. The reason for the brass is purely asthetic, but necessary. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Did a quick check in mcmaster.com and they have them in bronze.
Jamestown distributors has a the best prices on brass fasteners in my experience. but I don't know if they stock those. Did you try a google.com search?
