Peter,
In your video segment on applying shellac to the refinish project, you mention that you like to use several brushes for applying the shellac in certain situations. What is the brand and source of these brushes. In my internet search, I haven’t found a good option for the oval mop brush.
Thanks,
Kevon

Kevon,
How's this for coincidence; I just gathered a bunch of my brushes together for a class I'm doing tomorrow.
Some inexpensive options for ovals would be;
Windsor Newton Series 240 (tan bristle)
Windsor Newton Series 140 ( black bristles)
You can get them in many sizes, these are 78's. I used one of these in the video.
Both are around ten dollars or so. I use these for general shellac work especially on table legs.
They will shed a bit even after they've been cleaned and used repeatedly.
For finer work I'll use one of my squirrel hair mops. These are available through the Liberon line. These are more expensive starting at around $25 for a comparable size. A series 819 brush (made in Germany) is one I'm speaking of.
You can also consider Taklon brushes. While not being a mop, it has flat bristles, it will also lay off a very fine coating. They don't have the reservoir of the mop however.
Let me know how you do in finding them.
Peter
