Hi all,
I’ve been buying hardware for my small box projects from Brusso Hardware for a few years. Always great quality and service, however lately I’ve run into some snags with ordering from them. Certainly I’ve run into unavailability of product which as things are I understand and am happy to bide my time until things loosen up. The recent issues I’ve had, and was wondering if others have had similar problems, Is with placing an order and communication with the company. Their web page won’t allow me to order. In the recent past one could order as a guest, my preferred method, without creating an account. Now the site says you have to create an account. Which I’ve tried and the site then rejects my attempts so I’m unable to place an order using either method. I’ve phoned them and left messages and I’ve e-mailed the company using their preferred customer service e-mail. To no avail. Do you know if this company is still taking orders or if they are in some sort of crisis. If they are I need to find another company.
Thank you,
t.j.

I am not aware of any issue...ive always been able to get someone on the phone. But, another alternative solution would be to order from Tools For Working Wood in NYC -- they are geographically really close to Brusso and would know if there were specific product issues. AND, maybe more importantly, if you order 4 or more Brusso items they give you a 10% discount. If you happen to be in NJ (where Brusso is) and order from TFWW there is a tax benefit too.
Sorry to hear that. Horton Brasses (whom I usually use - on the order of a dozen orders if I had to guess over the past 5 years) has always been good and responsive.
See if Rockler has the Brusso product you're looking for, or alternatively, via Amazon.
So I just needed to order a template from Brusso, and I don't have or want an account either. There was a link under the sign-in that you click to get a temporary link sent to you by email that lets you place an order without an account. Worked for me. If you got that far, perhaps the email with link got caught in your junk folder.
Thank you Stan. Yes I tried the "send a temporary link" and when I entered my e-mail address the response was "could not find an account". Yea I'm sad about this, really like the company. Had an idea about using a different browser could give a different result. Thanks again for your time.
Woodcraft store had some Brusso hardware in stock yesterday when I was in there. Those nice small box hinges that I've used before are now $47!
