I heard from my supplier that the dust is toxic or at least an irritant. If you dont get definitive info here search the web.

I'm generally not very sensitive to wood dust, but I have had a poison-ivy-like reaction to bubinga. I wouldn't use it for eating utensils.
I've used bubinga quite a bit, it makes for a nice cutting board, very durable(hard),
make sure you use 100% tung oil as it is not toxic(liberon makes 100% tung).

Wow, that looks beautiful.My goal is for my work to outlast me. Expect my joinery to get simpler as time goes by.
