I received a set of three Buck Bros. Chisels about 3 years ago as a gift and I have enjoyed using them, found them to be very good after sharpening ( scary system). I tried to find a source for them but haven’t succeeded. (There are some “Buck Bros. chisels” on the net but apparently they were antique chisels of high order of quality.)
These chisels have red plastic handles (like the blue Marples). I haven’t seen them listed in any catalogs, seen them in any reviews like the FWW review of chisels several years back, nor seen them in stores. Does anyone know the quality of these chisels, price, or a source? I am comparing them on a project now with Japanese chisels (initially finding them comparable) but I don’t think they were very expensive at initial purchase. With the longer blades, they are a lot easier to sharpen with the honing jig than the Japanese chisels.

Home Depot carries the new "Buck Bros" which are not to be confused with the old Buck Brothers.
