I make a lot of furniture, benches, tables, etc. I like using oil as a finish but it does not get as shiny as I would like. Can I use a power buffer with or without wax to accomplish this? Asking before I buy a buffer! Thanks

Give Waterlox a try. It is compatible with oil finishes and provides a nice shine.
Also, try an equal parts mix of boiled linseed oil, paint thinner, and polyurethane. You can increase the poly if you want a bit more shine or faster build. This is an old time mix that goes on a bit like oil except you put it on very thin and let it dry. No wiping off. It may take 4-5 coats.
Have a watch of Blacktail Studio on Youtube. Cam does great videos, but pretty much limited to the slab and metal legs. His finishing however, now that is a thing to behold - he uses a buffer on Rubio.
