Matt,
I’m familiar with technics to install a level, plumb built-in bookcase, including scribing an overhang to butt flush to the wall.
The situation I’m facing is a three section bookcase that will be a built-in to fit into a recess on both sides (left & right walls). First side is easy, center section no problem, but how do you fit the third section with the center one in place?
I’m sure others have faced this issue, and have a good way to deal with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rooms:
Sorry for not answering your question sooner. The truth is, I'm not sure I know the answer. I also can't really envision the problem.
Is it that there's no way to physically install the third side once the first two are in place?
Perhaps the solution is in the way you build each section. Could they join with miters? Could the center go in first and then the two sides but up agains the face of the center one, overlapping it essentially?
Write back and I'll dig into this further.
Matt
