Hi
I am making two 4 foot display cases for my kids school and need sliding by-pass door hardware. The only kind I have used in the past is the “hanging’ type. I have also seen the type Woodcraft and a few other companies sell with the tab that slides in the grove, they look and are cheap. The doors are going to be 1/2 or 3/4 ply. Anybody with ideas or sources??

Mike, Sheaves andT track. Sheave has internal recirculating ball bearing which straddles and rolls on an upturned T section track .
Track is only1/4" high and can be just tacked in place. The rollers (Sheaves) are pressed into a pocket mortised into the bottom/ Top of doors just require two parallel grooves to slide in . Stein.
Or, you can buy top and bottom wood or plastic E sectioned parallel track to fit your doors/ You ust lift the panel into deeper top track, then drop bottom into lower shallow track. DONE! Stein.

Try Hafele's website. Excellent quality, many types, and they sell direct. FWIW I prefer the hanging type.John O'Connell - JKO Handcrafted Woodworking
