Hi
I’m a student designing my first cabinet, and I am considering using a ‘library catch’ for latching the double doors. However, though this hardware is shown in the book ‘Practical Design Solutions and Strategies’ (Taunton Press), I can find no such catch available here in England.
Has anyone out there had experience of using such a catch, and if so can you tell me where I can purchase one.
Thanks…Martin

I don't have that book, so can't see a picture of what you're looking for, but if it's an old design such as found on antiques, look for restoration hardware specialists. They might very well be catalog and on-line only.

Martin,
One of these companies should have what you're looking for. All of their products can be ordered online.

Contact your local cabinetmaking supplier, Martin.
They may be the rep for the manufacturer.
From memory, H'a'fele or Hettich do make them.
