Good Day,
I am seriously considering to rent/buy cabinet software… I have a trial version from KCDw
which seems ok but at 5000 to purchase or 1000 down /100 per month to rent, I am curious
as to what might be better, more cost effective or what some of you are using.
Thanks for your time,
silver

Hello,
Check out eCabinetSystems from the Thermwood Corp. 1-800-533-6901. You can get a free program to use and even buy the parts needed for the whole cabinet from them. It is free. I haven't played with it too much, but free is good.

Here's the link for the eCabinet software request. They are very prompt about sending it out.

forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I've dabbled with the software and given the price (free) its pretty good. Where it really pays off is when a design is done, it will create an entire bill of materials, which can be automatically uploaded to their website and they ship everything to my door with a job number clearly labeled on the package that matches the job number on the drawing(s) the software created. Very slick, I've done this twice and it worked great. I didn't buy any lumber or finishing materials, just hardware, but it was very fast and reasonably priced IMO considering the convenience. I think soon I may try ordering an entire project through them; plywood, lumber, stain & hardware...everything in one order to see how it goes.
Thank you forestgirl
I downloaded Cut List Plus but it is limited in its scope and if you want a working version, you gotta spend some dough.
But the free version is handy for anyone who wants to compute number of sheets for a project with pricing-fast quick easy.
Off to check the link.

I use e-cabinets- for the price you can't go wrong, it'll get you in the ballpark for bidding and give you cutlist and nesting, great pricing on parts through their network.
Thanks craig
sounds good and I like the price! I'm checking it out
cheers,
