I would like an extremely user friendly cabinet software for designing cabinets and generating cutlists.
What are you using and what would you recommend?
Thanks,
silver

Wouldn't recommend 20/20...designed really for retailers to show customers pretty pictures. I would look at the full lines of Cabnetware and Cabinetvision (they sell them in basic 'designer' packagaes, right up to really capable and expensive versions....I teach Cabnetware, but they're similar), or KCDw which a lot of people like. Depends on your budget.

WAY too conservative to be merely right wing
Tight budget at the moment. I could hook up to 20/20 at the college.
I'm off to goggle the 3 you mentioned..I'll try a free version if available.
Thanks Adrian,

For $45.USD I can try a fully operational version of KCDw with the exception of being able to print anything. Think I'll give it a shot...They had the best website by far, if that's an indication of computer savvy.

I tried Cabinet Pro and to my suprise it has got to be the most user unfriendly soft ware I have used period. Any time it takes more time to learn the soft ware than it takes to build the project something is wrong.
I was using Cabinet solutions but opted to try Cabinet pro because the owner convinced me it was better for designing custom casework. Cabinet solutions was by far the easiest to learn. It ask basic questions about how you build your cabinets and I printed an accurate cultist and panel optimization with very little effort. The great thing is that you can rent the program by the month, instead of forking out $1500 to $5000 before you test the software.
I can't even get my support questions answered from cabinet pro. Be careful to read their purchase agreement. There is no refund if you purchase a beta test version
I am back to using Cabinet Solutions again
Hope this helps.
