Cabinet software almost finished.
We finished programming our cabinet software program Cabinets Plus! and is now available at our site http://cabinets-plus.net/
It’s a full-featured software package designed for small to medium sized shops, and wood working enthusiasts. Cabinets plus! has excellent design capabilities, as well as accounting, and estimating, complete cut list with every conceivable part that goes into a cabinet, with every possible option, opening calculators for both the cabinet openings, and drawer bank openings, an advanced sheet goods optimizer with user interface, allowing the user to move the pieces around on the sheet. May be set up for metric, or standard fractions, and may change back and forth from anywhere in the program. Program will draw a scale transparent rendering of the cabinet project to be built. The rendering is a GUI or graphic user interface, which can be watched while creating the cabinets during the design phase. The design is accomplished through a Wizard style format. It’s a smart wizard though, and only asks what needs to be asked for each situation. Either one cabinet, or an entire wall of cabinets, with appliance spaces, drawer banks, etc. All drawn on the screen and printable. Job estimating costs, material take off, Inventory, and allot more. Plus we plan on letting it go for dirt cheap, since other than several thousand in programming costs, and several more in misc. costs, it wasn’t doing too bad. That is until the last half of December and all of January hit. That’s when the labor figures skyrocketed. Five Microsoft certified programmers working 50 hrs a week, just about sent us over the deep end. But it’s finished, and we’re already started on the next version, which will be twice as powerful. Also, free to customers of version one. In my opinion, and many others who have used the software, it is one of, if not the most user-friendly program of that caliber available. It’s the wizard that keeps the learning curve close to zero.
Thanks,
Robert K.
