   Chuck,

   The Cafe is an off-topic folder in Knots where most things go (not anything, but most things). To access it, you have to opt-in.

   I set you up with access. Let me know if that's a problem.

   It will show up as a folder in the left colum: "woodworkers cafe." Sometimes it takes a half hour to show up after your access is set up. Write back if it still doesn't work...

   Matt:I know you explained this earlier in the thread, but I an unable to find the folder for the woodworkers cafe. I believe you permitted access couple of days ago.I feel really stupid. I have tried a different browser, since Safari sometines does funny things but I still cannot see that folder. Also reset the cache.Would appreciate your help.Thank you,Hastings

   Do you know how to search for a thread by number? If so, try searching for #35566.1. It's a new thread in the cafe and it should get you there. Once you find it, you should be able to see where it is and get back there.

   For some reason, the software won't allow you to enter the thread number in the normal search field. You need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the search screen and enter it in the special box reserved just for entering thread numbers. While you're searching, search for directions on how to use this forum!

   Just kidding -- you won't find 'em, 'cause there aren't any. Go figger.

   Matt:I am completely and utterly flummoxed!I presume the woodworkers cafe shows up as a folder with a brown bar, similar to "General Discussion" and all the other major topic folders.If my supposition is correct, then no such folder is showing up!Yours, very baffled.Hastings

   There are, I believe, 16 topics (brown bars). Make sure you can see them all. For the first few months, I never noticed that not all of them always show up until you read through whatever shows up first. Try going to the bottom of the page, mark the page read, and go to the "Next 50" until you get to the end. See if it doesn't show up on one of the "next 50" pages.

   That said, you ain't missin' much. You may even regret your decision to join! ;-)
