I just hand labeled the side of yet another rectangular can so I can identify it on the shelf. I probably have 20 or so square cans of finishes, thinners, strippers etc and only about 10% of the makers have the common sense to simply label the cans’ edge while the fronts and backs are covered with graphics. Isn’t it just a natural tendency to store these cans like books and not faced to the front? OK it’s a little thing but it gripes me everytime I go looking for a Sharpie.

Masking tape and a magic marker fixes the problem for me.
