maybe it should be renamed “pheonix”, cause that handle was fabricated out of salvaged table legs….

For those of us who wear flip flops in the shop our big nightmare is dreaming about the day the handle of a big slick falls out of its socket and trims off a few toes. I know, I know... I'm gonna start wearing shoes.
Is that a canoe paddle?
That handle looks familiar...
for a small canoe
I shoulda made the handle longer so it would float if you lost yer grip.....right now it would sink real fast.
but it does have a screw (robertson of course!) to hold the handle on.

Added benefits of this design...
If your portage is overgrown, you could carve your way clear.
It's also big enough to double as a camp stove.
It's a genuinely clever idea.
South of the border, we don't use screws - we NASA issue TANG epoxy...
