I am working with a small woodworking (furniture) company in a semi-rural, northeastern state. The company has a solid reputation and has been in business for several decades. They have been seeking people with woodworking skills to join their company for months/years it seems, and the CEO expressed to me “If I had 10 more folks who knew what they were doing, I could double our business overnight.”
As a marketer trying to help this company (and others in town with a similar problem–attracting talent) my question to you folks is:
1) What are some uncommon incentives a worker might want?
2) Where is the best place to post notices for this type of available job? (we have ideas, so trying to verify with you)
and 3) Are there good channels to to display their work, maybe through video, online forums like this one, etc?
I appreciate any advice on any one of these questions.
Cheers!
