I had never heard of Carlo Mollino's 1948 Trestle Table so I did a Google search and found this article about it going at auction for $3.8 million. If this is the same table, my only reply is HOLY SMOKES!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a picture of it anywhere so I can't offer any leads on how to reproduce it. If you find an image, I might suggest you read this article, which details how to create a shop drawing from only a photo.
If you do find an image, attach it to your reply or send me a link. I might be able to derive more construction details from it.
