I’m currently building a reproduction of an Early American Linen Press with
plans from Carlyle Lynch. I missing some of the pages of these plans however,
and I’m wondering if anyone knows of a source for Carlyle Lynch’s plans, (I got
several sets of plans from a mail order outfit 10-12 years ago but I can’t remember
who was selling them at the time).
Thanx, Russ

C. Lynch Plans, POB 13007, Arlington, TX 76094. 817-861-1619. $2 for a catalog. (A FWW advertiser).
Jim, Thanx a lot - I'll call these folks today.
I built the Pencil Post Bed from Carlisle Lynch's plans in 1988.
He graciously corresponded with me two or three times.
He and his wife made the blueprints for his plans in an old fashioned way which he described to me but I've forgotten. Anyway, he dried them in direct sunlight.
He was modest, retiring, bright, supportive; a fine Virginia Gentleman.
He's gone now, sad to say. I don't know whether Mrs. Lynch survives.
Any plan of Carlisle's is a plan worth using.
Best
William
I make something, sometimes twice, each year.
If I remember correctly Mr. Lynch is deceased, and the person selling the plans is a relative (daughter?). He wrote a good book with measured drawings: Furniture Antiques Found in Virginia, under the name Ernest Carlyle Lynch (out of print). I have his camel back sofa plan on my to do list.
