I have been using a friend’s (very old) delta 14 inch BS with the Carter bearing guides on it & have found it delightful to use. My only other experience was with (very cheap) block guides & I did not like them. Now I am considering buying a Laguna saw, which of course comes with their own version of block guides. Does anyone have any experience with both the Laguna system and the Carter bearings? I would love to hear any thoughts on the Laguna ceramic blocks or comparisons by those who have used both. Thanks for any feedback you may provide.

Gary,
I had the Delta 14" saw and, for a brief period of time used a single Carter Stabilizer for thin blades (1/4" or less). It performed very well. I don't believe that this is the setup your friend has as mine only had the stabilzer on the top. I upgraded to a Laguna LT-18 before the ceramic guides were offered. When Laguna came out with the ceramic guides, I purchased an upgrade kit and replaced the standard euroguides. I found the ceramic guides much easier to set up than the original guides and perform great. I have had great performance with the ceramic guides for the past 4 years and haven't used the original guides since (no going back). Hope this helps,
Steve
