I am making a chippendale pie crust table -mahogheny wood. I am interested in appropriate patterns for the carved designs on the upper part of the claw foot legs and central part of the turned base. The plans that I have show some carvings in these areas ,but are not specific. Any thoughts?
Thanks Splinter

I would think that between this book by Clarkson and Heller available here http://www.schifferbooks.com/newschiffer/book_template.php?isbn=0887406165 and the full size plan that Ron Clarkson produced here http://www.foxchapelpublishing.com/productdetails.cfm?PC=1604 it should get you the level of detail you are looking for.
Thanks for your help. I will order the Clarkson book.
